A firewall is a security guard for your computer network. which helps to protect your network from hackers, viruses, and other unwanted things that might attempt to intrude from the internet. Cisco ASA and Cisco FTD are two types of firewalls which is made by an organization called Cisco.

• Cisco ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance):

It's an older firewall that works as a gatekeeper for your network. It controls incoming and outgoing traffic to only let secure and trusted data pass through.

It's widely used by businesses to defend their networks against Internet threats.

• Cisco FTD (Firepower Threat Defense):

FTD is a more advanced, evolved firewall that combines the ancient Cisco ASA technology with some extra tools to detect and block more malicious attacks.

It does not just manage traffic, but it also contains features to detect suspicious activity and block threats like malware or hacking.
